Starting somewhere...

Hi everyone I'm a 30 - something year old married mother of two children.

I have an 18 year old who is actually an exchange student in Taiwan (and has her own blog on this site as well) and a six year old boy - who is smart as heck!

Why am I doing a blog at all?  Well for starters I have to start somewhere in my life to try and synthesize all that goes on and try and make sense of it all.  I'm not sure how other 30 - something, woman/mothers gather themselves and gain a sense of control when so many things seem out of control when you have children and jobs.

Well let me start by telling you a little about myself and what I hope to accomplish with this blog:

I'm thirty - something (yeah,yeah we have that established already haha)
I'm a mom
I love to exercise and be fit. I pride myself on keeping my body in great physical shape and fitting into all my high school clothes
I love music. I keep up in many genres; alternative rock, rap, (lil wayne, eminem,) pop, some rock, r&b and freestyle. 
I like to keep on top of trends.I follow the news headlines for several out of State Newspapers and check Yahoo homepage  regularly.
I'm pretty good on computers.
I love shopping for clothes and love shoes/boots. (pretty typical)
I love cooking and following a healthy lifestyle.
I consider myself to be a pretty good & versatile cook that makes foods from all different cultures and adds my own  spin on them.

What I hope to accomplish with this blog:  one source place for me to store all my combined  ramblings, thoughts and goals. So that I may gain some much needed control over my life.  I hope to throw out the thoughts that clutter my daily thoughts and take away from my energy and build upon the ones that will do me the most amount of good as I go along in life.

My future goals are:

Go back to school and finish my degree changing my major from Finance to Psychology.
Finding a career in that field preferably working in a setting with children in a creative and therapeutic way.
Lose 5 pounds and maintain my weight.
Keep my body and skin in the best condition possible.
Find that balance in my life again where I'm focused and driven while remaining young at heart too.
Keep my inner child alive!!!
Travel
Take some classes in dance and massage therapy.
Serve my life purpose, enjoy my family, be true to myself and above all be happy doing it.
